The legendary J's Racing exhaust manifold! The bench mark of the industry when it comes to Honda manifolds has long been the J's / Toda header for B-Series engines, and the J's Header for the S2000 AP1/2. Early on in the prototype design, J's Racing discovered that a slightly larger header diameter, longer primaries and relatively shorter secondaries were the key to high power AP1/2 performance gains. As a result J's has been continiously the most powerful header offered off-the-shelf for Honda AP1/2 S2000's.
J's Racing's B-Series headers should not be overlooked either. Equally as powerful as any other on the market (within 1hp) they also look stunning in their one or two piece design. These are the same headers J's Racing used on their 240hp B18C CR-X Race engine as they established themselves in Japan. When it comes to header selection, you should look only at headers that do not become the bottleneck as your cars power output increases. As J's Racing headers have proven themselves capable no matter the set-up we believe their headers are the strongest choice off-the-shelf in the market today.
Currently the K20A headers (CL7, EP3, FD2 and DF5) are the newest offering from J's Racing. J's Identified that the OEM headers from Honda are restrictive primarily because of the shape, rather than the diameter. Therefore the replacement J's Racing header items act to expel gases as efficiently as possible by creating a smoother design. They should obviously be coupled with the 2-1 down pipe for best gains - especially when it comes to weight saving benefits as the headers are around 5kg lighter than stock.
B18, F20C headers are a one-piece design, B16 headers are 2-piece.
